Trip around the sun day

Trip Around the Sun Day this year was absolutely lovely.   Took the day off work and had a nice relaxing start to the day.   We went to do some hiking in the Niagara Glen with hopes of doing the whirlpool hike which I haven't done yet.   There were a number of tourists, but willing enough to let us pass them ;).  And unfortunately when we got to the part of the trail that leads to the whirlpool, it was closed - fail.  But we looped around the other way and still got to do the vast majority of it (and So Many Stairs).

Hot and sunny the way summer birthdays should be.   We snagged lunch on a patio on the way home and discovered a new bakery in the quest for birthday cake.   This could be dangerous ;).  Then a lovely quiet evening having dinner with Janie and Braulio and lounging in their pool.

Pretty civilized way to spend the day ❤️
