Scribble Book Magic

So, I decided I needed a new scribble book for a purpose.  Deciding for once in my life that is absolutely not driven by the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere and all potential scribble book acquiring locations are closed, I decided I would review if any one of the approximately dozen scribble books currently on my bookshelf would work.  Cause you know, even for immediate gratification it has to be the “right” scribble book (those who know ;)

So this has lead me down a wild rabbit hole because it turns out that A, I do have the perfect unused scribble book to meet my current needs.  Win!   But B, I also started reading the scribbles that are in *many* of the other scribble books.   Which are mostly full of completely random quotes or phrases that have resonated w me at some point through the years.  To put in perspective, I vividly recall the first one from when I was in high school.  It’s no longer on the shelf, but I’m still certain I could find it ;). But also, I don’t think I’ve updated since memes were invented so it’s been a minute for sure.

So things I’ve discovered - I’ve always enjoyed the plot twist and the snarky.  That’s consistent.  Also the magical - although i definitely didn’t have enough confidence to admit that until I was a “real” adult.   But the interesting part for me is how much harder some of those things that I wrote down 20 yrs ago or more hit now.   That I definitely didn’t expect.
